Cold Radiator Problems

A radiator will be cold

if there is no water in it

or there is no hot water passes through it.

First check the water level in the feed & expansion tank in the loft space. It should be 1/3 full and the ball float valve should check & stop the water supply.

If the above tank is OK, you can refill the radiator by opening the air vent valve at the top of the radiator.

If there is no hot water passes through this may be due to radiator's valves check and open the radiator valve.

Sludge and scale can totally or partially block the pipe work and stop the flow hot water. Radiators at very lower level are more prone to this problem. The system have to be flushed.
